Wash Awareness Program

Sneh Asha Foundation is committed to promoting Education and  health, hygiene, and sanitation among school going children, and we believe that education plays a crucial role in creating a positive impact. Our Wash Awareness Program aims to raise awareness and instill good hygiene practices among students in schools.

Proper water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices are essential for the overall well-being and development of children. Unfortunately, many schools and communities lack access to clean water, sanitation facilities. Though the schools have such facilities but there is lack of  knowledge about hygienic practices among adolescents and school going children.
This situation can lead to the spread of diseases, absenteeism, and hindered educational opportunities.

In addition to promoting overall hygiene, our Wash Awareness Program also emphasizes the importance of menstrual hygiene management.
We provide education, resources, and support to ensure that young girls have the knowledge and tools to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

We collaborate with schools to implement comprehensive initiatives that address these challenges. Our program focuses on three key areas:

1. Education and Training: We conduct interactive sessions and workshops to educate students about the importance of handwashing, proper sanitation, and personal hygiene.

2. We believe that knowledge empowers children to make informed choices and become ambassadors of change within their families and communities.

3. Behavior Change Campaigns: We engage students, teachers, and parents through creative campaigns and activities that promote positive behavioral change. This includes organizing handwashing demonstrations, distributing educational materials, and conducting hygiene awareness events. By fostering a culture of cleanliness and hygiene, we aim to create lasting impact and sustainable practices.

Our Wash Awareness Program not only improves the immediate health and well-being of students but also contributes to their overall academic performance. When children are healthy, they can attend school regularly, concentrate better in class, and achieve their full potential.

We actively collaborate with schools, local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the success and sustainability of our program. Together, we strive to create a healthier and safer learning environment for children.

We invite you to join us in this important mission. By supporting our Wash Awareness Program in schools, you can make a significant difference in the lives of countless children. Your contribution will help us expand our reach, provide essential resources, and empower more schools to implement effective WASH practices.

Together, let’s create a generation of informed, healthy, and empowered individuals who can build a better future for themselves and their communities.
